Steel Types
Strong steel with history in every blade.

Reclaimed Railroad Spike Steel
Our signature material. Salvaged from real railroad spikes, this steel carries the marks and history of its original life. Each blade is unique, and quenched in "super quench" for a beautiful blade and a durable edge.
Pop's ProCut
An engineered steel by Dr. Larrin Thomas. Designed as a high carbon steel to have high edge retention and amazing toughness. This steel will serve you in the field or even as a hobby knife. We like to make our Savage Knives from this type of steel because it's strong, tough, and will last you a lifetime.
8670
One of the very toughest and most shock-resistant steels made while still boasting a good edge. This steel is excellent from swords all the way to knives. Most people make kitchen knives or other knives in-need of flexibility. We make throwing knives out of this steel, and have found that it doesn't work good, it works amazingly!
AEB-L (COMING SOON!)
One of our very favorite steels. This steel is one of the most versatile ones on the market. Its uses are in surgical stainless blades, kitchen knives, hunting, you name it and it's probably one of its many uses. This steel holds an edge just as well as steels like Pop's ProCut, while offering a stainless aspect to it! If you want a steel that won't rust, and holds an edge look no further.
